Trinoma

Also, I was at Trinoma today. Thanks to Bianca and her parents for treating us out to lunch and Starbucks! :)

I had loads of fun shopping with Bianca, Paul and Felix for a bag and later on, eating carbonara with Paul and Felix and then more shopping for shoes at Schu! There was a buy 1, take 1 promo going on so I couldn't resist myself from splurging. Haha. XD

I've got loads of homework to do and I haven't started a single one. I hope my laptop gets fixed real soon. I need to do lots of research and I need to download our files from yahoo groups. So dyahe when you don't have your laptop. >.<

Hillsong United

I can't believe I forgot to blog about their concert! XD Anyway, yeah, I went and watched the Hillsong United concert May 26th with NJ, Jett and his two friends! Two words: Super Amazing! XD

I loved it and it was so hyped to the max. I almost lost my voice from screaming and singing along and I was so tired when I got home from all that jumping and dancing!

Jett, upload the pics ASAP! XD

YFC Brunei, I wish you guys were there to witness it. I missed you guys throughtout the whole concert. It was just awesome! If they come again next year, I'm definitely watching! :)

AND OH, one more thing! HAHA.

Tom Felton uploaded another feltbeats video! YAY. I just watched it YouTube and I swear I've fallen in love with him all over again. The dude can sing and is one heck of a guitar player at that. Check his videos out. He's just such a honey. <33

College Girl!

So since Monday, I am now officially a college student. Whoa, right? Just feels like yesterday that I was in YuMi Restaurant, cramming for our AMaths O'Level exam! HAHA.

So far, things have been going great. We've met out professors and so far we haven't encountered any terror profs yet, thankfully although we were kind of told off once or twice already and it's only the first week! HAHA

So I have I think 7 or 8 subjects. I have:

INTGLOS - Introduction to Global Society
POLISCI - Political Science (OMG, i feel like this subj is gonna be a tough one!)
TREDONE - Religious Studies i think.
LBYENVP - Physics Lab. (yes, physics. WTF rght? it's my worst subject ever in form4 and form5)
SCIENVP - Physics Lecture. (i chose IS because i thought I could finally escape physics but turns out i'm wrong!)
FWDANCE - PE! Ballroom Dancing!
CRITHIN - Critical Thinking. Sort of like Philosophy. I think I like it. XD
WIKAKUL - Wika at Kultura. (Language and Culture)

So I'm in school Monday to Thursday for the whole day. We have a freshman concert coming up so I'm hyped for that. My blockmates are uber fun and I think we're the tightest block ever because we're inseparable! Haha.

Well, what can I say about college? I think that to survive, you've got to have a more mature perspective of everything. Gone is the days where you can answer your teachers' questions with "I don't know" or "antah" because you're graded even for recitation which means that you have to participate actively in class discussions which I haven't been doing yet. HAHA.

Oh yeah, the reason why I haven't blogged about my first day is because my laptop's jacked. The fan isn't working and it keeps on shutting down. BOOOOO. Hate it. haha

I MISS BRUNEI SO fcuking much though! =( Love you guys! You know who you are lahhh.

And oh yeah, can you believe that next week, we already have a freaking PHYSICS test? Haha yeah. So I gotta recall my physics! Wish me luck!!! :)

it's back

thank gosh the internet is back. It's been down for like 2 days and it's really annoying because...just because! XD

Orientation in dlsu was freaking awesome, I can't even start. I got to know my blockmates and we were introduced and briefed about everything we need to know from the organizations and other ECAs. They did a really good job at making the freshmen feel welcome. I had a blast during the second day if it was uber tiring. The animo building just makes you feel so hyped and high that you just want to jump, which of course I had to stop myself from doing. XD

Anyway, since my cousin is here for the weekend, I finally got to set foot on Trinoma and Gateway and good news, I now know how to get there! Yay! :)

So, my blog is lame and I just feel like going out again. Maybe tuesday. :)

All Me

It's funny how you undergo this huge transition when you move to a place that's totally different from where you grew up or lived for a long time. It's not that bad, really. You've just gotta thicken up your skin and accept the changes that come your way. Learn from the people that are around you and just tell yourself that you'll survive and one day, all this will become everyday normal.

I surprisingly haven't been having a difficult time adjusting although living here even for a short while palang has already opened my eyes and mind to a wider prospective of life here. Sure there are so many things that annoy me and there are also things that I look plenty forward to and just feel hyped about.

The pollution here is just excessive. Take a day's out and when you get home and start eskinol-ing your face, you'll know what I mean. The cotton will just turn dark with one swipe on your face. HAHA. It's just smoke everywhere. Smoke from jeepneys, smoke from tricycles, smoke from cigarette smokers. You just gotta have something to cover your nose and mouth with everytime you walk out of your house if you don't want to die of lung cancer or something.

And poverty issues, OMG. I don't even know where to start. Poverty in the Philippines is so common and widespread. You'd see homeless people on the streets, kids extending their palms to you for money and elderly people walking around with sadness evident in their eyes. It's just so overwhelming you know. You just want to reach out to them and help them.

Crime rates are as high as ever these days. You watch the news and word of murders and robberies are never absent. There are snatchers, hold-uppers and pickpockets everywhere and I'm just glad I'm not a victim yet and I do hope I'll never be one. You can't really blame these people. With the price of rice, gas and practically everything skyrocketing these days and wages that can barely support your family, you can't blame them for the measures they've resolved to taking.

As if things aren't already bad enough as it is, this food crisis issue surfaces. So there's a shortage in rice and now we're importing rice from Thailand and are currently getting buried in debt because of the massive amounts of rice being imported. Who knows the day after tomorrow they're going to be telling us there's a freaking shortage in oxygen or something. Okay I admit that's an exaggeration but yeah you get the point. I hope you did!

Hey, I'm not trying to scare you or anything but that's just what I see with my own eyes, y'know. Besides, there are still a million fun things you could do here and a million beautiful places to see. We still have Mall of Asia, Ayala, Davao beaches and Boracay white sand and a lot of tourist places so you'll still enjoy your time here! HAHA.

Anyway, filipino people are known for always being happy despite how hard life is so it really depends on how you make the best of everything you have and just face the music, y'know and just keep your faith in God rockhard. :)

Wow, do I sound like I'm competing for Miss Earth or something? HAHA. I just feel really human right now. :)

Momma's Day

OMG I'm such a loser! I blogged about David Cook and Veronica Mars and I didn't even blog about the most IMPORTANT thing, like ever! WTF lah.

BUT I DID greet my mommy, okay? Right after I woke up, even! So I did not forget. XD I just forgot to blog about it... something like that. =_=

Anywayyy...

This is my first mother's day without my mommy and OMG, I can't even start telling you how sad it is. I MISS her to bits and I just feel like hugging her real tight, y'know.

Anyway, to my mommy, I can't thank you enough for just...everything. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU to the HIGHEST LEVEL. Really, no one can ever compare to you! HUGS

*sniff.
i miss my family lah.
i miss laughing crazy with Igz at the stupidest things.
I miss my annoying rascal of a youngest brother. He's actually really sweet y'kno.
I miss my daddy and his corny jokes which I laugh at because his face looks really funny when he's telling his corny jokes. hehe. love you dad.
i miss my mommy and her salty tuna spaghetti (iknowright?) and her crazy laugh.

OMG tears are actually streaming down my face right now. XD
wth hell lahh...
I just really miss them...

Veronica, Veronica

I saw Kristen Bell on E! just now and I couldn't help but think "OMG, I MISS Veronica Mars."

Yep, yep. You gotta love Neptune's Rich Guy Kryptonite. :) I just love, love her!

It's a bloody shame that they decided to freaking cut the show. Come onnnn. Don't tell me you didn't love her witty comments and out of this world sarcasm! Veronica Mars is even wayyyyy better than whatever show you replaced it with even if I don't have any idea what you replaced it with! That's just the way it is!

You'd never guess what's behind that smile and angelic face of hers! HAH.

I miss bitching out with Paul over whether who she's going to end up with. He likes her with Dick but I don't because Dick Casablancas can be just that. A dick. Seriously.

Logan's the guy for her. Or maybe that Troy 'drug addict' dude. Duncan Kane would have been good for her if he didn't screw up this other chick. Hey, Piz wouldn't be so bad for her either or...Sheriff Lamb. HAHAHA. WTF. She's got so many guys to choose from. Let's face it, the bizatch from Neptune does get a lot of action.

And so I'm rambling. I must be really bored. XD Paul would love this. Bring Veronica Mars back lah. NBC, you totally mucked everything up when you cut VM.

Ohh my fave quotes from the show HAHA. :

Dick: I met this girl a couple weeks ago. Hot! Like, volcanic hot, like I might have to use an oven mit to feel her up.

Dick: "Ms. Dumbass."
Ms Dumause: "It's Ms. Dumause, Dick."
Dick: "Well, my name's pronounced Rishard and it stinks back here, I think someone died."
(oh yeah, Ms. Dumause is played by this girl from Top Model. She won a challenge and she got the role.)

Dick
: [upon seeing Veronica] Dude, what the hell are you doing? Please tell me this is like, some new reality show called My Skank.

Logan
: Goodbye, Dick.

Dick
: What?

Logan
: Get out of my house. You have a problem with Veronica, you leave. Actually, you have a problem with Veronica, you're pretty much dead to me, so just, like, evaporate or something, I dunno.
(Aww aint that just sweet. haha)

Madison
: Pretty Woman is still my favorite movie. Vivian is, like, my hero.
Veronica
: She's a hooker.
Gia
: Only because she had to be.
Veronica
: She's a hooker.

Lamb
: What do you mean by, "it smelled"?
Dick
: Dude, it smelled - like the ass of something that died.
Lamb
: And you can't say what it was?
Dick
: I'm not, like, a professional smellologist.

Lamb
: Still picking winners, huh, Veronica?
Veronica
: I told you, when I start picking losers, it's all you.

I'm gonna start watching season1 all over again. Actually, maybe I'll finish Season 3 first. XD

David Cook

Okay, this is actually the first time I'm going to blog about American Idol. Now that we're down to the top 3, I just couldn't help but want to blog about it and I can say that I'm pretty happy about the top3. I'm super happy that Jason Castro got the boot. He was getting really annoying with those dread locks and horrible choice of songs.

David Cook is my bet this season. Don't get me wrong, I love David Archuleta as well but I can't help it if I love David Cook more. :)

Isn't he just heavenly? Haha. Let me just say this: I am a fan and not a fangirl. There is a difference. ;)

Doesn't he just make you want to hug someone? :D Gadd.

Anyway, I hope he does win.

Friday Out

So, I was out Danver, Martin, Paul and his cousin, Trish yesterday. I had to pick Danver up at McDonald's in Taft and instead of waiting for Paul and Trish, he decided he wanted to go pick Martin up at the World Trade Center so that's exactly what we did.

We took the LRT to Gil Puyat and took a jeep to World Trade but we ended up going past World Trade because we weren't sure if we should stop the driver in the middle of the high way and so we got off at GSIS instead and then we had to take another jeep to World Trade and this time, the freaking driver dropped us off at the side of World Trade so we had to freaking walk in the hot sun and polluted air to the front of the building. Anyway, we got there and we met up with Martin and soon after, Paul and Trish arrived after which we hailed a cab and endured an uber long taxi ride because of the weekend traffic.

Anyway, we got to Glorietta around 3pm and everyone voted on watching Speed Racer even if Dan and I wanted to watch What Happens In Vegas. Well actually, Dan wanted to watch When Love Begins but anyway we all settled on Speed Racer and I have to say the movie was an absolute bore in the beginning but towards the middle it got really exciting up to the end. Rain (yes, the Korean pop star and actor) was in the movie and I have to say he did a pretty good job at the action scenes although he seriously needs to learn his English if ever he wants to make even bigger bucks in Hollywood. He wasn't that bad. You have to give him credit for being able to memorize his lines, though. Even though he only uttered a short phrase every time he spoke. XD

We ended up searching the whole of Makati for someplace to eat after the movie until we all settled on eating out at California's Pizza Kitchen. Martin's treat. HUGE thanks for that, Martin. ;)

Animo La Salle!

I am now officially a Lasallian! :)
And I'm just so ecstatic! XD

So yeah, enrollment was today for freshmen of College of Liberal Arts and I arrived at DLSU at around 12.15 so since the enrollment doesn't start until 1.30pm, I had to wait there inside for almost an hour. I was next to a guy who was sorta hot but I didn't talk to him because the girl next to me seemed friendlier than he did. LOL.

Well anyway, everything went smoothly. I just handed in the requirements, payed my fees and took my schedule and I was out of there by 2.30pm. Of course I was smiling ear to ear on my way to the LRT station because I'm now officially a Lasallian! XD

So, I just got back from Santiago yesterday morning. Santiago City's festival, the Pattaraday Festival ended the day before and OMG, all I can say is that it was one hell of a cultural experience. The Street Dance exhibition and competition was held on Monday and different dance troupes from different regions of the Philippines came and competed against each other. I loved the Sinulog Festival from Cebu City and the Pandan Festival from Pangasinan the best.

I think I mentioned before the my cousin was performing at our village's festival, right? Or maybe I didn't. Anyway, she performed and she had these uber hot back-up dancers that were always at our place practicing. XD Yeah, I just wanted to tell you. HAHA.

By the way, did you know that with 385pesos which is equivalent to about $14, you can get to Santiago City by bus which is like, 8 to 9 hours from Manila? I find it hard to believe. LOL. Unbelievable because in Brunei, $14 is the cost of one taxi ride for 4 people from the Mall to Bengkurong which is like, 15minutes apart. XD

Anyway, freshmen orientation is on the 14th to 15th of May and I'll finally get to meet my classmates and tour the campus. I'm telling you, the campus is just huge. You need to take a jeepney ride to get to the admissions building from one of the buildings. HAHA. XD

I'll blog about how it goes. =)
